An RJ45 connector without a transformer is the connector alone — housing, contacts and shell, with no isolation magnetics inside. A Non-Integrated or 'Discrete' RJ45 connector is a standard modular jack that does not contain internal magnetic transformers. The magnetic isolation and filtering components are placed separately on the PCB (LAN Transformer). This architecture is often used to lower connector costs or to accommodate specific board layouts.
